Institute Scholarships

Generous donors have made it possible to award several scholarships to enrollees of the Institute.

McKoy Scholarships

Errol McKoy, CFE, retired manager of the State Fair of Texas has donated $10,000 per year, for the last nine years, to fund up to twenty scholarships of $500 each. 2017 will be the final year for the McKoy Scholarship. Over ten years Mr. McKoy will have donated $100,000 to IAFE Institute of Fair Management Scholarship program. Any Institute enrollee is eligible to apply. Applications are due to the IAFE Office by August 31. Recipients will be recognized at the Annual IAFE Convention.

Bob Williams Scholarships

Through the efforts of the Bob Williams family, friends and fair family, the Bob Williams Scholarship will be offered in 2017. Retired from the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Bob Williams was always a supporter of continuing education and assisting young folks in becoming better industry leaders. One $500 scholarship will be offered. Any Institute enrollee, from Zone 4, and from a small fair (less than 50,000 in attendance) is eligible to apply. Applications are due to the IAFE Office by August 31. Recipients will be recognized at the Annual IAFE Convention.

Bob Williams Memorial Scholarship

The Bob Williams Memorial Scholarship was first funded in 2017 by the Warren Cranberry Festival, Inc., WI in honor of Bob Williams. One $500 scholarship will be awarded. Any Institute enrollee, from Zone 4, is eligible to apply. Applications are due to the IAFE Office by August 31. Recipients will be recognized at the Annual IAFE Convention.

Kitchen Craft Scholarships

Through the generous donation of Mr. Dave Hurley of Kitchen Craft, twenty scholarships of $500 each will be awarded. Any Institute enrollee is eligible to apply. Applications are due to the IAFE Office by August 31. Recipients will be recognized at the Annual IAFE Convention.

Cow Palace Scholarship

The Cow Palace, home of the Grand National Livestock Exposition, Horse Show & Rodeo in Daly City, Calif., sponsors a $500 scholarship. Any Institute enrollee, from Zone 8, is eligible to apply. Applications are due to the IAFE Office by August 31. Recipients will be recognized at the Annual IAFE Convention.

Florida Federation of Fairs Scholarship

The Florida Federation of Fairs sponsors a $1,000 scholarship for any Florida resident participating in the Institute of Fair Management. The scholarship is sponsored by North American Midway Entertainment. The 2017 application process is now closed. The 2018 application process will begin in January 2018.
