COVID 19 STATEMENT

Effective 2-28-20

The IAFE is closely monitoring the COVID 19 (coronavirus) situation including all statements and guidance issued by the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). Notification to all members was made on February 26 via email, as well as to allied associations within the global fair industry of our plan to monitor and release in near future a resource portal. In the interim, all members are advised to closely monitor news releases from the CDC and WHO and to review their own pandemic plans and resources.

The Association's plan of action for the immediate future includes launch of a dedicated website portal with direct links to resources, pandemic planning templates, and stepped up member communications. Based upon data provided by members, there are 20 fairs happening across the United States within the coming month.

In addition, the Association will make changes or additions to program content of scheduled meeting as necessary in order to assist members in their own planning or response to COVID 19.

The IAFE has an internal plan of action in the event of notification from health authorities in the jurisdictions impacting any upcoming IAFE events March through May. Individual members registered for those events will be notified of any changes to plans for the upcoming meetings. All IAFE events scheduled as of this time will go ahead as planned.
