Oregon Fairs Association Holds Annual Meeting

The Oregon Fairs Association held its annual meeting Jan. 10-13, 2008, at the Salem Conference Center in Salem Oregon.  About 450 people attended the event.

The keynote speaker for the event was Joe Puckett, who presented “How to Reach Your Full Potential.” Educational programs covered the subjects of Grant Writing, Internet Marketing, Sponsorships, Improving Displays, and Youth Programming.

Don Slone of Harney County Fair is serving the second year of his term as president. Jerry Underwood of the Tillamook County Fair is serving the second year of her term as vice president. Rachel McIntosh of Dechutes County Fair received the Distinguished Service Award.  Ron Burback of Funtastic Shows was chosen as the Phil Downing Service Member of the Year.

The 2009 convention will be held Jan. 8-11 at the Salem Conference Center in Salem, Oregon.
