Qualifications:
Desired
- Experience in business administration, public administration, marketing, public relations, communication, entertainment or related fields.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in developing and managing budgets, maintaining sound fiscal policy; day-to-day record-keeping including payroll; and preparation of board- and government- required reports.
- Knowledge and experience in planning, organizational restructuring and business development.
- Knowledge and experience in fund-raising, grant and sponsorship development
- Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with staff, board of directors, governmental agencies, local businesses, media and the community.
- Knowledge and experience in recruiting, training and supervising employees and volunteers.
- Knowledge and experience in developing and implementing marketing plans and strategies.
- Knowledge and experience in producing and directing community-relevant programs, entertainment activities and special events.
- Knowledgeable in the areas of purchasing, facility maintenance, public relations, contracting, and technology.
- Ability to create and deliver public presentations.

Selection Procedures:

- The applicants considered to be the best qualified for the position will be referred to the DAA's Board of Directors for further consideration.
- Personal interviews will be scheduled at the fair (boardroom) with a selected number of the most qualified candidates after the final filing date.

Sales and Marketing Manager
Wisconsin State Fair Park, located in Milwaukee, is accepting applications for their Sales and Marketing Manager position. This is an unclassified position within Wisconsin State Government. Responsibilities include market analyses and implementing sales strategies for the purpose of maintaining current event business and securing additional event business for State Fair Park facilities. Events include consumer shows, trade shows, racing, rodeos, dances, meetings and many other types of events. Salary range is $45,936 to $54,288/annually, commensurate with experience. Director
The Expo Center Board is taking resumes until September 15th, 2010 for the position of Director of the George H, Henderson, Jr. Exposition Center in Lufkin, Texas.
A bachelor's degree in business administration or marketing preferred, with solid experience in fiscal responsibility, organizational/employee management, and building maintenance. A proven track record in marketing, programming and promoting is also a plus. Business management and/or experience in related fields may also satisfy qualifications demanded by job duties. Exceptional management, interpersonal and communications skills are essential.
Pre-employment drug test and physical required.
Salary and incentive plan based on experience with benefits to include employee medical, LTD, vacation, sick leave, life insurance and 401k.
