Each year, the IAFE conducts contests for its fair members, which recognize and reward excellence. All contests are judged by IAFE member representatives and professionals from respective fields.

New for 2009, the North Carolina State Fair will be making it possible for every fair attending the IAFE Convention to receive a USB flash drive which will contain the top three winning entries in each category.
