Awards Committee Objectives

• Review IAFE Hall of Fame applications submitted for consideration and bring forward a most worthy candidate for same. Undertake annual review of Hall of Fame nomination and selection procedures, rules and eligibility criteria for relevance and make recommendations to the IAFE Board and staff regarding appropriate changes to same.
• Assist in the presentation of the IAFE Hall of Fame Award when conferred upon the chosen candidate at the annual convention.
• Assist in the orchestration of various IAFE awards presentations when called upon.
• Provide input to the IAFE Board and staff regarding various IAFE awards programs, e.g. Agricultural Awards, Competitive Exhibits Awards, Hall of Honor Communications Awards, Heritage Awards, etc., as well as the addition of any award(s) for IAFE associate members.
• Committee makeup = The prior year's Hall of Fame Award recipient is the committee chair and represents their zone. The IAFE Chair appoints one (1) representative from each remaining IAFE zone: including at least one (1) additional past Hall of Fame Award recipient in addition to the committee chair. Announcement of the committee members is withheld until the committee chair (Hall of Fame recipient) is announced.
