"Human Resources II"
IAFE CyberSeminar Series
Wednesday, November 19, 2008
2:30 p.m. (Central)
(3:30 p.m. Eastern, 1:30 p.m. Mountain, 12:30 p.m. Pacific)
Duration: 90 Minutes
Timely, convenient, and affordable education is just a few clicks of the keyboard away with the launch of the new CyberSeminar series from the IAFE. The IAFE CyberSeminars are webinars — interactive presentations viewed on the World Wide Web while simultaneously listening in on a conference phone call.
Human Resources II will build upon the principles covered in October’s “Human Resources I” session and focus on discipline issues along with personnel files and ADA regulations. Topics to be discussed include how to do an investigation on harassment complaints to include employee discipline, what to keep in an employee’s personnel and confidential files and privacy issues. Also covered will be HR resource companies and publications that can be very useful for HR questions. The end result of the seminar is to help you understand the importance of handling employee issues and what you need to do.
About Our Presenter
Cheryl Huber is the Executive Administrator of the Minnesota State Fair. She has worked for the State fair since 1987 and is actively involved in numerous continuing education resources to keep up to date on human resource topics.
The session begins at 2:30 p.m. Central (3:30 pm Eastern, 1:30 pm Mountain, 12:30 pm Pacific – all in Standard Time) and will last approximately 90 minutes.
Registration Procedure
Technology will make it convenient for members to log-on to the Internet and dial in to a conference call from the convenience of their office or home (long distance charges apply). A high-speed Internet connection is recommended to view the seminar. Registration to participate will be by location, so members are encouraged to gather additional staff, volunteers, or board members around the computer and phone to join in for this learning experience. Each CyberSeminar will last between 60 and 90minutes, and registered participants will receive hand-outs and related material by e-mail in advance of the session.
The registration cost will be $59 per site. Registration closes November 14 at 5:00 p.m. (Central Standard Time). For more information about the CyberSeminars, contact Rachel Stutesmun or Marla Calico at the IAFE office (800/516-0313).
