"Charting Your Course for Change," the Spring Management Conference, will provide CEO's and management staff members the insight and information to navigate today's change-filled business environment.
Jerry Bouma of Edmonton, Alberta will kick the conference off with a look at the 200 year history of fairs in America and address the new opportunities fairs have to be today's ultimate reality experience.
Workshop session -- risk management strategy for social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.), managing controversy, labor issues, and community relevance – these timely topics will be covered and you'll walk away with information you can use immediately. Featured speakers will include Edwin G. Foulke, Jr., former head of OSHA as the United States Assistant Secretary of Labor, Matt Strassberg of the Consensus Building Institute, and Leslie White of Croydon Consulting.

2009 Management Conference Special Session Recordings
The recordings of three special sessions during the 2009 IAFE Spring Management Conference are available to IAFE members. The CD you receive will contain a recording of the session in "Webinar" format--the PowerPoint presentation show to the audience can be seen, as well as the audio recording from the session. The three sessions recorded are:
- Infrastructure Funding - Information on the US Federal Stimulus Funds
- Creating Accessible Events/Fairs - Updates on the American with Disabilities Acts and simple things fairs can do to make their events accessible
- Managing Hazardous Substances - Recent regulations developed by the Consumer Products Safety Commission can impact fairs when toys and other consumer products are used or sold.
