Delegates Invited to “Elevate Your Thoughts” at 2008 IAFE Spring Management Conference

A total of 144 delegates accepted the invitation to “Elevate Your Thoughts” at the 40th annual IAFE Spring Management Conference, held April 25-28 at the Hilton Salt Lake City Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Attendees took advantage of educational programming, networking opportunities, and activities at the conference. The delegates and 34 spouses represented 94 fairs and firms from the United States and Canada. IAFE Chair Rick Frenette and Judy Duncombe of the Utah State Fair were the co-chairs of the event.

The “Elevate Your Thoughts” theme encouraged the delegates to take their fair management to the next level. The IAFE Program Committee and staff designed a program that was informative, entertaining, and challenging for fair officials. Be an All-Star in the 2008 Coca-Cola Membership Contest

Institute of Fair Management

Are you a volunteer, part-time or full-time paid staff member at your fair? You can join others involved with fairs, exhibitions and shows to focus on your professional development in a curriculum covering all aspects of management in the Institute of Fair Management. Courses are offered in the core competencies necessary for the successful operation of today’s fairs, large or small.
